The travel meeting in the series “Pegasus on the poles” will be devoted to a hiking trip from Gdansk to Rysy, during which the route was laid out... a roll of the dice! It was she who decided on the chosen route, where to sleep and even meals. This hike is a journey full of unobvious tourist attractions and history whispered by the sides of Polish roads. A praise for freedom and spontaneity and proof that the best of plans is often the lack of it. A story that appeals to a wide range of audiences — for those looking for inspiration to explore the country, as well as for those who seek adventure, laughter, but also a reporter's leaning on more important topics in a travel story.
Ola Synowiec (writer, journalist, Latin American writer, author of Mexico Magico Blog) and Arkadiusz Winiatorski (writer, author of travel articles and Stones on Travel website) will talk about their expedition.
“We want to tell you about a hiking trip from Gdańsk to Rysy, during which our route was marked by... a roll of dice to play! It was she who decided on the chosen route, where to sleep and even meals. During 46 days of marching, we covered 1135 kilometers and overcame more than 21,000 meters of elevation, that is, we “entered” Rysy almost 9 times! At the same time, it was the last missing summit to the Crown of Polish Mountains. It is a hike full of unobvious tourist attractions and history, with which the sides of Polish roads whisper. A praise for freedom and spontaneity and proof that the best of plans is often the lack of it. A story that appeals to a wide range of audiences — for those looking for inspiration to explore the country, as well as for those who seek adventure, laughter, but also a reporter's leaning on more important topics in a travel story.
