FESTIVAL OF ALTERNATIVE MOTOR SKILLS | an event realized as part of the Sztuki-Taniec Spaces Program.
The Alternative Motor Festival focuses on performances, performances and dance installations created by or in collaboration with artists with disabilities. It covers areas of artistic activity such as: inclusive choreography, critical dance and alternative motor skills, with an emphasis on diversity (motor, sensory, intellectual disabilities).
The festival is dedicated to the memory of Rafał Urbacki (1984-2019), Polish theatre director, critical choreographer, performer and pioneer of inclusive choreography in Poland, who explored the themes of disability, working and social bodies, especially in the context of Silesian workers' identity.
During the festival, among others, professional ensembles and independent artists working in the areas of inclusive choreography, critical dance and alternative motor skills will be presented, with an emphasis on diversity (motor, sensory, intellectual disabilities).
