Philippe Béziat opens the doors of the Philharmonie de Paris and offers a rare glimpse into a rehearsal run with the Orchestre de Paris — with the young conductor Klaus Mäkelä as the central figure. The film, though, is more than just a portrait of life behind the scenes; it captures the fine balance of orchestral life, where moments of musical exaltation coexist with pressure and uncertainty. Through the musicians' honest reflections, the challenge of uniting individual voices into a unified whole is explored. For the first time, cameras and microphones move freely among the ensemble's 120 musicians, creating an intimate, enveloping and ultimately immersive experience.
