About:We are showing a film adaptation of Marie Bregendahl's short novel “A Death Night” from 1912.
A classic about loss, love and the transition from child to adult.
The novel is set in the countryside at the end of the 19th century. The eldest daughter of the family, Lise, follows the fateful day when her mother struggles for life in the maternity bed.
Autumn is under way, and the farm's food mother is keeping her family together and everyday life. But when the birth goes wrong, everything changes in one night.
A Night of Death (1912) is an intense and moving tale of grief, courage and the moments that change a person's life.
The film is directed by Tea Lindeburg, 2022. On the acting side we find, among others, Flora Ofelia Hofmann, Kirsten Oiesen, Lisbet Dahl and Thure Lindhardt.
