Film club night with the documentary “The Last Silence”

What movie are we going to seThis evening we are going to see the documentary “The Last Silence” (2025), which is directed by Kasper Bisgaard and Mikael Lypinski.

In the forests of West Virginia lies the world's most powerful radio telescope. It is so sensitive that even the smallest signals can interfere with the telescope. That's why cell phones, WiFi and microwave ovens are banned in an area around the telescope called “The Quiet Zone.” Due to the technological silence, many people suffering from electromagnetic hypersensitivity seek refuge here. But what happens when this silence is disturbed? When WiFi and smartphones start sneaking into this peaceful nook and cranny?

Film club night with debate and voting This is the last of a total of 3 events in the Dox:2700 Fall 2026 season. There will be no talk tonight after the film. We debate the film ourselves and vote on which films to watch next season.

Everyone is welcome to come and see the film and participate in the debate. If you participate in the voting, you will automatically become a member of the club and will receive an email when tickets for the next season are made available.

We are a friendly and debatable community with an interest in documentary films. The club has been in existence for 10 years, is run by volunteers and belongs at Husum Library. We always have room for more members and look forward to welcoming you.

First, we watch the movie. Then there is debate and voting. The film lasts 1 hour and 23 minutes. There will be a short break with tea and coffee.
