FILMS FOR EDUCATION with ODN and WZiSS UMP — Considerate and Romantic

FILMOCZULE FOR EDUCATION is a monthly series of intimate film screenings for Teachers, organized by Kino Muza in cooperation with the Center for Teacher Improvement in Poznań and the Faculty of Health and Social Affairs of the UMP. Each meeting is a screening of a selected film combined with a lecture and conversation that inspires reflection on education, health, emotions and challenges of everyday school life. Together we look for film educational tracks, talk about prevention and support each other in building a more sensitive school — and at the same time we simply watch and experience valuable cinema in a relaxed atmosphere. “THOUGHTFUL AND ROMANTIC” | by Georgia Oakley | UK, USA 2026 | 131′ Georgeia Oakley is the director of a new interpretation of Jane Austen's Thoughtful and Romantic. Working Title is based on a script by Diana Reid and starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Esmé Creed-Miles, Caitríona Balfe, Frank Dillane, Herbert Nordrum, Bodhi Rae Breathnach, George MacKay and Fiona Shaw. Set in Georgian-era England, the film follows the fortunes of a wealthy Mr. Dashwood who dies, leaving his second wife and three daughters in dire financial straits. The women move to a modest country estate, where two older sisters compete for the favor of various admirers in search of true love. Produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title, India Flint of November Pictures and Jo Wallett of Kiddo Films. Working Title and Focus previously collaborated on the 2005 film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, which garnered four Oscar nominations, and on the 2020 film version of the Emmy.

The meeting will be led by: ANNA GOLIK-CZARNECKA | Consultant teacher at the Teacher Improvement Center in Poznań and English teacher at School Complex No. 1 in Swarzędz. Author of methodological publications for teachers of foreign languages, experienced trainer and examiner of external exams. In her daily work with young people, she is passionate about cultural and social education by combining cross-curricular content and media education.
