Movie Mondays

Film Mondays is an author's series designed not only for moviegoers, but also for laypeople among viewers. The film that will appear on the screen remains a secret until you sit in our intimate cinema room.

In November at Artus Cinema we will look at films at the border of genres — fairy tales and folk horror. We will show cinema inspired by legends, ancient spells, folk beliefs and fears rooted in the collective imagination.

What are we going to watch this time?

A disturbing, horror-filled reinterpretation of a well-known fairy tale. In search of a better life, two siblings embark on a journey deep into a mysterious forest, where they find a mysterious house. But can they feel safe in it? Can they trust a strange woman offering them hospitality?

As usual, the screening will be preceded by a short lecture presenting the history of the film's creation and cinematic curiosities related to it.
