After several months of working on ideas, experimentation, consultation and creative research, we invite you to the final of the 2nd edition of the Szklarnia program. The theme of the second edition of the Greenhouse was EFFORT.
Szklarnia is a program created by the Center for Culture Śródmieście and Social Arts for people who want to work in the field of culture and social initiatives. In the Greenhouse we accompany authors and authors of selected projects for three months, we help develop their ideas and translate them into real actions. The finale is a summary of the process — the moment when the three projects meet the audience.

During the event we will present:
“Carrying Everyday Life” — choreographic laboratory for neurodiverse people, led by Agata Redlicka
Cycle of movement workshops for neurodiverse people. The final presentation is a performance, during which we will see the result of working with the body, movement, word and drawing. The starting point was the mythological Atlas and the statues of the Giants from the facade of the Tenement House under the Giants. Carrying has become a metaphor for daily effort. The group sought motor representations of their own experiences. The movement of performers will meet with texts, personal statements, drawings and poems. During the presentation, the participants of the event will be invited to a joint movement.
“In stock” — a project by Julia Banaszewska
What is the daily life of people working in large warehouse halls? How do the body and psyche respond to constant effort, repetition of tasks and incessant control?
Julia Banaszewska collected materials during conversations with people who worked at the warehouse. Based on these conversations, an artistic installation was created that brings closer the realities of working inside large halls and the experience of functioning in an environment subordinated to performance and control.
The installation uses the collected materials, creating a space to look at what usually goes unseen — the daily effort, fatigue and experiences of those working in warehouses.
“Voice practice, effort practice?” — Weronika Bielecka's voice laboratory
Does the voice require effort? How does the body respond to talking, singing, screaming and being silent? What happens when we treat the voice as a practice?
The project was created on the basis of voice workshops conducted by Weronika Bielecka. Its final will be a sound installation, which is a recording and creative processing of the experiences of the participants of the laboratory.
Three projects, three different perspectives and three ways of thinking about effort. A common point is the question of whose effort we perceive, to whom we attribute its value, and what we can see when we stop at the very process of action.
We invite you to the final of the 2nd edition of the Greenhouse — a meeting with the projects, their authors and the results of several months of joint work.
