Fireside Talks: Bo Bech & Claus Meyer

Bo Bech has insisted for three decades that craftsmanship and attitude belong together. From Paustian to Geist and most recently Bobe, he has characterized Danish gastronomy with technical finesse and aesthetic wingspan. Claus Meyer was the architect of the manifesto that sent Nordic gastronomy out into the world and has since taken gastronomy to places no one expected: from the prison in Vridløselille to Bolivia's poorest neighborhoods.

Now the two meet in DR Koncerthuset for a conversation about what they have in common and where they differ: What ambitions lie behind their involvement in gastronomy? Where is the line between craftsmanship and attitude? And what is the cost when you never think you have done enough?

An evening that gives new perspectives on food, the people behind it and the food culture we are all part of.

In the second part, the audience itself sets the direction. Through anonymous questions, the evening becomes an unpredictable dialogue.
