Flutuações

What resonates within us when earth meets water? Inspired by the work Flutuações, this workshop invites the audience to experience the rhythm of mangrove forests through a sensory yet reflective experience.

Feeling the moist clay in your hands is like touching the mangroves themselves: When forming the clay, you can experience the movement of ebb and flow vividly. At the common table and in the light of projections, the participants edit the sound and discover that the creative act does not belong to the artist alone, but emerges from a deep coexistence between community and territory.

Still holding the earth, the group then heads into the exhibition room for an open discussion in front of the factory. There, there is a growing understanding that the creation of the work itself is also the result of collective knowledge developed together with fishing communities. As guardians of traditional traditions, they teach us how life can be protected — in a place where the earth and sea meet and embrace.
