An animal farm created for the ballet of the Wrocław Opera, inspired by the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell — is a moving story about a revolution that devours its own ideals. A world is born on the stage in which the dream of freedom gradually turns into a mechanism of violence, manipulation and fear.
In the modern dance interpretation, farm animals become a symbol of society: full of hope, but also susceptible to power, propaganda and division. Dynamic choreography, evocative scenography and specially composed music build a spectacle that is emotionally and visually intense, in which movement replaces words and the body becomes the language of the struggle for freedom.
It is a ballet about the mechanisms of power — timely, disturbing and extremely human.
