About the event

Get an introduction to the world of quantum physics and hear about the new “quantum revolution” that develops technologies based on the most paradoxical quantum phenomena. Learn about how quantum computers work and what they can be used for.

Klaus Mølmer is a professor at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen and has written the popular science book, 'Quantum mechanics — the wild world of atoms' (reserves below), and in recent years he has united science and art in collaborations and joint performances with composers, musicians, writers, and ballet choreographers and ballet dancers.

There will be coffee and cake.

Science lectures livestreamed on the big screenExperience a series of lectures where you can get closer to the latest discoveries and realizations in the natural sciences. It is scientists who lecture, the level is high and you will be challenged, but you can benefit from all lectures regardless of your professional prerequisites. Admission to the lectures is free.

The lectures are livestreamed from the Søauditorierne in Universitetsparken, Aarhus University to cinemas, libraries, folk universities, cultural houses, associations, assembly houses, colleges, schools, eateries, etc. in many cities in Denmark and abroad.

A lecture typically lasts two hours including a mid-term break of 20 minutes and a session at the end of which the lecturer answers selected questions submitted by the audience during the lecture via SMS. Some lecturers even answer in writing the questions that they did not have time to answer during the lecture.
