“Olav's House” is a tale about Kim Leine's Norwegian family. A novel about three generations' dreams of freedom, vision and independence and all that — poverty, perdition and religious fanaticism — that holds them fast. And about Kim himself, the prodigal son, who must travel through an entire century to arrive at his mother's story.
Our librarian, in this conversation with Kim Leine, will delve into why it is right now in this place in life and writing that the time has come to tell family the story. How has the process been and is there anything that surprised me?
You can experience this and much more when one of Denmark's best writers, Kim Leine, visits Østerbro Library.
