The Humboldt Forum is a new building, but from the outside, with its three Baroque facades, it is primarily reminiscent of the former Berlin Palace. What is this huge building? What does it feel like to walk through the portals and look up at the tall facades? And what other role models did architect Franco Stella pick up?
Together, children and adults go on a discovery tour through the Humboldt Forum in small groups as research teams. They get to the bottom of shapes, dimensions, decorative elements and materials and adapt to the room in a variety of ways. In a fun way, they learn which other buildings have shaped this place from the Middle Ages to the present day, how the function of the town has also changed as a result of the development and what references to this building history can still be found today.
In a research sheet, they can individually record the results of their search for clues and inventory. Depending on the age group, different interactive methods are used.
