From patient to young mentor/free talk in Asta Bar

William and Michala have both been admitted to psychiatry themselves in their teenage years. Today they are employed as youth mentors at the Child and Youth Psychiatric Center (BUC) in Bispebjerg, where they use their own experiences to support young people who are in the midst of a difficult period.

They talk about their own experiences of having mental difficulties, about what it was like for them to be hospitalized and receive a diagnosis, and about why today they are passionate about giving something back. With their personal experiences, they create hope, recognition and community for the young people hospitalized today.
