The cult “Frances Ha” returns to the screens of Polish cinemas. The protagonist of the film is Frances Halladay, an aspiring dancer living in New York who, with charm, impulse and unwavering hope, tries to find her own place in life. He dreams of an artistic career, but over time he becomes more and more painfully convinced that adulthood is not going according to previous ideas: apartments change, relationships lose their former stability, and the future turns out to be less orderly and less promising than it might have seemed. “Frances Ha” is one of the most important films of American independent cinema of the 21st century — a bittersweet, light-hearted, yet surprisingly penetrating portrait of a young woman caught between aspiration and reality.
