PERFORMANCE IN ENGLISH, WITHOUT TRANSLATION

Adapted, directed by: Peadar de Búrca Music: Paweł Gocek Duration: 75 minutes (non-stop)

The unstable, paranoid Victor Frankenstein sits in his mansion, waiting for the arrival of the Creature who murdered his younger brother.

The creature was promised a wife, but Frankenstein has other plans...

This unique production draws inspiration from the classic work of Mary Shelley, while bringing it to the present day, extracting themes of revenge, violence and personal roots from the landscape of Silesia.

Screenwriter and actor Peadar de Búrca presents his English-language production at the Korez Theatre in Katowice and asks if Frankenstein is a horror film about a vengeful monster or a very bad father?

Unlike de Búrcy's previous plays, “1984” and “Hamlet”, this is not a monodrama, but a show for two, in which de Búrca's daughters, Lilly and Malina, take turns playing the role of “The Girl” during the morning and evening performances. Basia Kaźmierczak appears in an episodic role, and the music for the live performance was composed and performed by Paweł Gocek.
