This monthly series of 10-minute talks showcases young voices from the National Gallery's Articulation initiative. Articulation supports young people in the development of oracy skills, independent research and presentation skills.
Each year, the nationwide Articulation Prize invites participants aged 16–19 to present a 10-minute talk on a work of art, architecture or artefact. They then become part of the Alumni Network. In this series, previous participants (alumni) revisit or reimagine their talks, drawing new inspiration from paintings in the National Gallery.
Open to all, these short, engaging sessions offer audiences the opportunity to experience the collection through fresh, thoughtful and diverse perspectives, while celebrating the talent and insight of a new generation of young speakers.
Today's speaker is Tia Grant, who will be exploring Pietro Longhi's A Fortune Teller at Venice, offering a fresh perspective on this intriguing Venetian scene and the stories, relationships and mysteries at its heart.
