About the imaginationWhat connects father and son and what creates distance when upbringing, language, culture and expectations are different? What is passed down from generation to generation, what changes along the way, and what hopes and dreams do fathers and sons carry with them?
Meet a group of men who, through personal narratives, provide insight into experiences of being a minority ethnic man, father and son. In their own words, they tell of love, responsibility, grief, failure and pride, and about finding one's place in the family and in society.
After the tales, there is an opportunity to ask questions to the men.
Twenty years ago, C:NTACT created the performance “FATHERS AND SONS” as one of the very first productions. Now, in 2026, we will once again take the temperature of the father-son relationship.
FATHERS & SONS are therefore not a flashback, but a necessary revisit.
