Bytomianka Gala and Bytomianina of the Year 2025

Who creates the unique character of Bytomia? People who are passionate about discovering its history, nurturing local heritage, developing culture and engaging in social life. It is their activity and commitment that are at the center of the Bytomianka and Bytomianina Gala of the Year 2025, organized by the Association League of Indifferent Women.

During the ceremony, we will get to know this year's winners, honor their contribution to the life of our city and live together an evening filled with music, dance and art.

League of Indifferent Women — we work for Bytomia

The Association League of Indifferent Women has been involved in the social and cultural life of Bytomia for years. It implements initiatives to promote local heritage, supports valuable projects and appreciates people whose passion, work and commitment serve the residents. The plebiscites organized by the League of Bytomianka of the Seasons and the elections of Bytomianka and Bytomianina of the Year are an expression of appreciation for the people who contribute to the unique character of the city.

Anna Seemann-Majorek — Bytomianka of the Year 2025

Dr. Anna Seemann-Majorek is a researcher of history, cultural and social educator associated with Bytom. Author of the monograph “Mother Ewa from Miechowice. Life and Work” and co-founder of the Evangelical Cultural Association, she is committed to popularizing the city's history and nurturing its heritage. Its activities help residents discover the local identity and memory of the extraordinary figures of Bytomia.

Wiesław Ciecieręga — Bytomian of the Year 2025

Wiesław Ciecieręga is a poet, singer, bard, author of books and animator of cultural and literary life. A graduate of the 4th Bolesław Chrobry Secondary School in Bytom, he is the originator and long-time organizer of the national literary song festival “Flowers on stones”. His work and artistic activity have enriched the cultural life of the city for years.

Music, dance and art — artistic setting of the Gala

The evening will be complemented by an artistic program combining music, theater and dance.

Paulina Wanot — violin

Violinist, graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin School of Music in Bytom. He has been playing the violin for 21 years. He runs his own music services business, collaborates with bands including Sinfonia Masovia, and performs in Poland and abroad.

Weronika Kowolik — soprano

A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, associated with Bytom. She is a laureate of vocal competitions, and in her achievements she also made her debut on the stage of the Silesian Opera in December 2024, where she performed the role of Nurse Sister in the opera “Suor Angelica” by Giacomo Puccini.

Jakub Samogranki — “Meat — zero act”

A student of the Faculty of Dance Theatre in Bytom of the Stanisław Wyspiański Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow will present the author's study “Meat — zero act”.

Julia Kulawik and Izabela Zwolenik — dance duo “O Północ”

The artists will present the choreographic duet of Julia Kulawik, to the music “Oberek” by Krzysztof Kulawik. The performance refers to the tradition of Slavic Oczepins, the symbolic transition from girliness to femininity and the meaning of female bonds.

“Art is a woman” — photography exhibition by Veroniq Zafon

The gala will be accompanied by an exhibition of artistic photography “Art is a Woman” by Veroniq Zafon, an artist associated with Bytom, photographer, art historian and curator of visual narratives.

The exhibition, originating from the project “Point of Escape — Woman is Art”, shows femininity through light, shadow, emotions, gesture and movement. The body becomes a means of expression here, and photography tells about female strength, sensitivity and multidimensionality. An important source of inspiration for the artist are dance and music.

It is an artistic encounter with femininity that does not fit into one definition and each time tells a different story. Celebration, meeting and celebrating together.

During the Gala, the statuettes of the Bytomian Woman of the Year 2025 Anna Seemann-Majorek and the Bytomian of the Year 2025 will be presented to Wiesław Ciecierędza. The ceremony will also be accompanied by the handing over of the Angel of the Good Gesture — a symbol of solidarity and support.

After the official part, we invite you to meet the winners. It will be an occasion to talk, congratulate and celebrate together.
