GALA GODOMY PO ŚLONSKU

The goal of “Godoma po Slonsko” is to promote the use of godka in public places, including shops, service companies, offices, schools.

The initiators of “Godoma po Ślonsku” have been trying for years to give due status to Silesian speech, which over the years has grown with stereotypes that put its users in a negative light.

Everyday life shows that godka is used regardless of education or wealth, and yet in many public places in our region it is difficult to communicate using Silesian speech.

That is why the idea was born to indicate and in a special way distinguish those people who promote godka on a daily basis. The organizers want the Silesian language, which testifies to our identity and cultural belonging, to be a reason for pride, not shame.

As every year, during the gala the statuettes of “KAMRATA ŚLONSKIY GODKA” will be presented

The campaign under the slogan “Godomy po Ślonsko” is carried out by the Silesia Foundation, the “Pro Loquela Silesiana” Society, the portal and the magazine “Chorzowianin.pl” and the Chorzów Cultural Center.
