POLISH COMPOSERS' GALA

For the final of the Moniuszko Festival — a gala, during which we will hear fragments of works rarely presented on opera stages. Savor the diversity of musical expression of Polish composers in the masterful performance of the stars of the Pegasus stage and invited guests!

This year's edition of the Moniuszko Festival will be closed with a gala, during which the stars of the Poznań Grand Theater and invited guests will meet on stage. The evening will be a musical journey through lesser-known and extremely valuable cards of Polish opera literature. The audience will hear fragments of works that are rarely hosted on opera stages on a daily basis, including the first act of the opera Jadwiga, Queen of Poland by Henryk Jarecki, as well as dramatic scenes from Konstanty Gorski's opera Margier in the elaboration and instrumentation of Andrei Yakushau. The program of the evening was prepared by Szymon Mechliński, artistic director of the Moniuszki Festival, one of the most versatile baritones of the young generation, a tireless researcher of the artistic heritage of Polish composers of the 19th and 20th centuries. A gala for music lovers looking for musical discoveries, but also for all those who want to experience the beauty of a rarely performed repertoire interpreted by outstanding singers and orchestra under the baton of Marta Kluczyńska.
