Staszek is an ordinary teenager — he has a girlfriend, friends, an older brother and a demanding mom. But it also has a world where it feels really strong — online gaming. There he is a leader, a warrior, someone who dominates every movement. In real life, everything begins to get out of hand: conflicts with the girl, pressure from colleagues, the demands of mom and school.
The line between the game world and reality is blurring. Staszek begins to see in his loved ones not people, but opponents who need to be defeated. It is drawn not only by the game itself, but also by the community — a group of players that forces it to be better, stronger, faster. When the pressure reaches a critical level, aggression erupts.
The show GAME OVER is about addiction to games, uncontrollable emotions and aggression that destroys relationships. The Forum Theater asks questions: where does the fun end and the addiction begin? How to recognize the moment when we lose touch with reality? Viewers not only watch the story of Staszek, but can enter the stage, change the course of events. The presenter checks with the audience what can be done differently.
The show is dynamic, full of movement, strong music and emotions. We invite students in grades 7 and 8, as well as high schools and teachers - together we will look for ways to ensure that the game does not end with the inscription GAME OVER.
What is the Forum Theatre Method? First, we watch a short story — scenes showing conflict situations and problems close to young people. Then the performance turns into a forum: the audience can enter the stage, stop the action and propose another solution. Each viewer has the opportunity to see how differently the dialogue can be conducted, how it can be reacted and what effects this can bring. In this way, the theater becomes a safe laboratory in which to practice courage, empathy and agency — without risk, and with great potential to gain valuable important experience.
This show does not give ready-made answers — but it creates a space for conversation and joint action. This is an extraordinary opportunity to see the world from a different perspective and discover that each of us has the potential to change reality.
We believe that theatre can have a real impact on life, which is why we invite you to take part in the performance and to discover together where this extraordinary adventure takes young people! We are part of the municipal program: Proficultura, which aims to strengthen our health potential by reducing the risk of developing digital addictions.
