If I didn't wash this shirt... | family workshop for kids

What would happen if our shirt did not go to the wash for a very, very long time? Would food stains, mud, traces of paint, or perhaps completely unusual and difficult to recognize dirt appear on it?

During the workshop, participants will decorate white T-shirts with acrylic markers, creating fun spots, splatters, splashes and marks inspired by everyday dirt. We will let our imagination run wild and create t-shirts that will tell our own story of adventure, fun and... a very long wait for the laundry.

The starting point for creative fun will be a conversation about hygiene, daily habits and why it is worth taking care of clothes. However, we will approach the topic with a grain of salt, turning what we usually want to do as soon as possible into inspiration to create our own creation.

Children are waiting for two hours of concentrated, joyful manual creativity away from smartphones and fairy tales on TV.

This is an opportunity to legally “get dirty” and experiment with paints and felt-tip pens, which is pure fun for children.

Participants will take home a T-shirt decorated with their own hands, in which they will be able to walk with pride every day.

The classes are inspired by the exhibition of illustrations about hygiene by Esther Młowka, who in a light, humorous and imaginative form encourages the youngest to look at the daily rituals related to the care of cleanliness and well-being.

Florentyna Nastaj — a graduate of painting at the Faculty of Arts of the UMCS. He paints paintings, makes drawings, ceramic sculptures, and also designs posters and books for publishing houses for the youngest. She is the winner of the competition for the Most Beautiful Book of the Year. She cooperates with cultural institutions in Lublin and works as a graphic designer at Galeria Labirynt.
