The moving story of a teenager fleeing war-torn Afghanistan with his mother and siblings to Europe. It's also an intimate story about growing up and discovering your sexuality. In life, Amina is dominated by a sense of loss, and on many levels. The hero had to violently enter adulthood and for more than 20 years suppressed traumatic experiences in himself. Today, in her early forties, she is succeeding in science as a scientist and planning to marry her longtime partner.

Amin decides to reveal the truth about himself in the film, but he is not ready to face the camera, so director Jonas Poher Rasmussen (his former school colleague) decided to turn to animation. The memories suppressed so far create a moving story in which the boundaries of time and space are blurred. There are many parallels with the present. The film is fascinating not only in its unique form, but also in the extremely close relationship of the protagonist with the director.
