Where is the Beast? Opening of the exhibition of works by Tomasz Konopka/Crime Festival

The exhibition presents a number of peculiar portraits made in the technique of oily pastel, which in a certain sequence will reveal the eccentric nature of human nature. It will be an unusual journey through a strange story, and its finale is associated with the discovery of the nature of the real beast.

Part of the exhibition was transferred to a virtual world ruled by subversive algorithms. There, the recipient will take, necessary to solve the riddle, the missing elements (the riddle hidden in the title question of the exhibition).

We participate in the Workshop Trilogy — workshop “Profiling the offender” — after the opening, it will be possible to participate in an art workshop, during which we will learn the principles of plastic profiling of the human face.

Participants will grab the coal and check how to transform a literary description into a convincing portrait of the perpetrator with a few artistic tricks, i.e. a large number of decisive strokes and soft shadows.
