Premiere of the book

About the event

On Sunday, October 11 at 17:00 we invite you to the CSW Laboratory for the Warsaw premiere of the book “Gęgaloma in our homes”. The event will be accompanied by a conversation with the author, Viktor Stribog, led by Olga Drenda.

Wiktor Stribog, creator of the cult and mysterious “Land of Mushrooms TV”, visual artist and composer, makes his debut as a writer. “Gegalooma in our homes” is a guide on how to live in a world dominated by the Goose. That is, in a better world, a world that we humans may not deserve. It is a book for children, young people, adults and seniors, which combines surrealism, dystopia about dictatorship and the lightness and severity of children's books from the period of the Polish People's Republic. A sweet story about society, tradition, history and education for people whose imagination knows no bounds.

Olga Drenda

Writer, essayist, translator. Author of the books “Polish Duchology. Things and people in the years of transformation”, “Products. Ingenuity around us” (for which she received a nomination for Polityka Passports and the Gdynia Literary Award in the essay category), “The Word of Humor” and the talks “Who is Our Life” (together with Bartłomiej Dobroczyński) and Książka o (together with Małgorzata Halber). Since 2013 he has been running the Facebook page Duchologia. He conducts interviews in the Pearls of Archives series on the Digital Reconstruction channel TVP and a broadcast in the radio station Czwórka. One of her cats was originally supposed to be called Goose.
