Portrait of Eugenia Jurczyk, a resident of Ruda Śläska, set in the historical setting of the workers of Godula. The film abandons the classic documentary form — the writers do not ask questions, and the viewer is invited to listen to a moving monologue, which from minute to minute storms the “fourth scene”, turning the screening into an immediate, almost social meeting.
The heroine weaves a multifaceted story, recalling stories from her life, each of which carries a different emotional charge. It is Genia who guides the narrative, her words do not give ready answers — on the contrary, they force us to ask further questions about the meaning of life's choices, spiritual dilemmas and the direction of social transformations.
The visual and sound layers are the perfect complement to this story. The frames, albeit static, are “thick” and life-affirming. The camera tenderly portrays the rawness of the familiars and the authenticity of the local community.
The original author's sound system creates a unique atmosphere, emphasizing the weight of each spoken word. In this multifaceted story, the viewer laughs, cries and gets angry with Genia — a woman whose charisma and uncompromising vulnerability do not allow her to remain aloof.
