Since their debut single “I ett annat liv”, which was released in February 2025, Alessandra Günthardt and Joel Sjöö together under the name Genom Natten have established themselves as one of the most interesting names on the Scandinavian indie scene. With a sound where Swedish sadness meets sparkling dream pop, the duo have found their own place between big melodies, darkness, light and lyrics that stay with the listener.

On September 4, Genom Natten will release the song “Himmel” — the band's most fast-paced single to date. The song is about being in a toxic relationship where emotions constantly oscillate between anxiety and ecstasy. The emotional rollercoaster ride is reflected in the production, where fateful verses build up against a euphoric pop chorus.

Over the past year, Genom Natten has received increasing attention from both audiences and music editors around the Nordic region. The duo's music has been played on P3 in both Sweden and Norway, while the spring single “För nära Solen” continues to be heard on the radio, among other things with backing from NRK and Yle X3M. Now Genom Natten follows up the Nordic response with a winter tour through Scandinavia, which takes them past RUST in Copenhagen.
