Giles Corey

Giles Corey

Giles Corey, a solo project by Dan Barett from Have a Nice Life, will go on a European tour at the beginning of the year, during which he will play the only concert in Poland — January 31 at the Niebo club in Warsaw.

In his solo project, known for Have a Nice Life, Dan Barrett turns extreme emotions and experiences, history and the inexplicable into music that is extremely intimate and uniquely beautiful. Slowcore, folk, indie, drone? We find a little bit of everything here, but above all it is music that captures the heart. 15 years after its release, Giles Corey's debut album boasts a cult status, and listeners often talk about communicating with this record in terms of ritual or even religious sensation.

On November 13, The Flenser will release a remastered version of the material, led by Richard Chowenhill of Agriculture. It is accompanied by the previously unreleased “A Landless Earth”, which you can listen to everywhere. On this occasion, Dan Barrett will embark on the Born To Be Alone tour, which included one stop in Poland — on the last day of January at the Niebo club in Warsaw.
