At just 16 years old, Glaive began uploading experimental, dazzling hyperpop songs to SoundCloud during Covid isolation. The American is still considered one of the most important representatives of the digicore movement, an internet-based, youthful movement of artists who are building their reach via Discord, SoundCloud and TikTok. From this viral momentum, glaive has now built an audience of millions. His early tracks, which include the most-listened to “astrid” to this day, already established Glaive as a hyperpop phenomenon. As a support act for artists such as The Kid Laroi and as a feature guest on Machine Gun Kelly, he steadily expanded his fan base. With enviable ease, glaive combines alternative pop with punk, trap and dance elements and brings this stylistic diversity to the stage on his upcoming GOD SAFE THE THREE TOUR in November this year when he comes to Germany.
About the event
glaive was born in Florida in 2005 as Ash Blue Gutierrez and moved with his family to North Carolina as a child. The Covid pandemic led the then 16-year-old to upload his first songs from his children's room to SoundCloud. In his first releases, he mixed influences from emo, trap, pop punk and EDM into fast, distorted sounds. In 2023, his acclaimed debut album “I care so much that I dont care at all” was released, which secured Glaive's position as a pioneer in the digicore genre. In the following long players “May It Never Falter” (2024) and “Y'all” (2025), the musician opened up his sound without losing the claim to redefine pop music. The latest album “God Save The Three”, which was released on May 8th, is a collab work with his long-time companion Kurtains, who will accompany Glaive on the tour of the same name at the end of the year.
