A seemingly ordinary afternoon during which Elizabeth and Michael, a married couple with twenty years of service, conduct their daily bickering. She wants everything in life to be perfect, and he wants to earn even better and have a little holy peace. The routine of the day is interrupted by unexpected guests: indecently passionate young lovers and a slightly cynical ex-couple of sixty-year-olds. During the conversation, Beth and Cal realize that the guests are none other than themselves from the past and the future. The bride and groom arouse envy and delight in them. The ex-couple captures with distance and a sense of humor.
