Richard and Julia recently divorced, but their separation is a fact only on paper. The 60-year-old couple remain friends who wholeheartedly want their former significant other to find happiness in the arms of someone new. However, it quickly turns out that it will not be so simple.

While a little sentiment hasn't killed anyone yet, it's definitely not very helpful when going on your first blind date in thirty years. A parade of colorful and slightly quirky characters glides before the eyes of the divorcee couple, and each subsequent potential parter leaves behind only the irresistible impression that the whole dating thing is some one big joke. Increasingly lost, Richard and increasingly disgusted Julia would have long since abandoned all attempts to rebuild their lives if they could not count on each other's support. Will these efforts prove to be a total failure or will they end in success?

“The Game of Dating” is the Polish premiere of a text by Peter Quilter, an acclaimed playwright whose plays are presented on the boards of the most important theaters in more than 40 countries around the world, including Broadway and London's West End. Quilter was twice nominated for the Olivier Award (for Best New Play and Best New Comedy), and his Broadway debut was singled out with nominations for three Tony Awards.
