BOUNDARIES OF THE WORLDS. Songs of November Nights

Sometimes in the midst of the dark and quiet autumn evenings it seems that the wind carries the sounds of old songs. It is said that this is because during this period the physical world is approaching that from another dimension. Sometimes it happens that they penetrate... then these songs are heard more clearly, as if they are hummed by someone next to them.

Late autumn has always aroused in people a special desire to remember those who have passed away. At that time, to the accompaniment of falling leaves and burning wicks of candles, songs filled with melancholy, grief, sometimes turning into lamentation, were sung. Long stories were also told about the saints, asking them for their protection and incessant intercession.

The Polish Dance Ensemble “Wronki” of the Wroniec Cultural Center together with the Early Music Ensemble “Lux Antiqua” would like to invite you to an evening filled with the sounds of old instruments and forgotten songs, which will sound again in new arrangements, inviting you to reflect and reflect on life and death.
