Unsound will present a concert by Sarah Davachi, one of the leading avant-garde composers who won the Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale this year. Her works attract attention with an extraordinary attention to detail: even in the earliest years, this Canadian artist and researcher extracted rare complexities of sounds and surprising textures from her instruments. He creates using instruments such as analog synthesizers, organs, pianos or keyboards, but he also composes for larger ensembles. This year's epic triple album, “The Will of Tongues,” brings together numerous threads, alluding to early music, Arvo Pärt's sacral minimalism and James Tenney's captivating time-perception experiments. The aim here is to draw attention to psychoacoustic phenomena, harmonic resonance, tuning and color space. Davachi will be joined on stage by the Krakow Music Cooperative Contemporary Ensemble.

Last year, Unsound premiered a unique collaboration between Kelman Duran, Loraine James, Puce Mary and Sinfonietta Cracovia. This project, under the name The Providenza Ensemble, was commissioned by the Warp label and will see a continuation in 2026 with a completely new line-up. Only the 26-piece string ensemble Sinfonietta Cracovia will return, this time accompanied by Guatemalan cellist and vocalist Mabe Fratti, Danish-Scottish singer-songwriter Clarissa Connelly and British singer-songwriter Mark William Lewis, the first artist to sign with A24 Music. After a residency at Providence in Piève, France, each of these characters will create a new work, which they will perform together with the Sinfonietta.
