Conversation row
In the philosophical series GRUBLERIER, Folketeatret invites you to an evening where we take time to talk and wonder in a way that our contemporary times rarely give way to. They are informal evenings with room for curiosity and reflection, where we meet to talk about life and the issues that fill up for many of us.
The talks are led by philosopher and art historian Lukas Quist Lund and are based on themes such as joy, faith, care and community. You don't need any special prerequisites to participate besides the desire for good conversations and a longing to have time to think and philosophize.
DEBATES are not a panel discussion, but an open and shared conversation based on the experiences and common wonder of ordinary people. Feel free to contribute if you feel like, and it's perfectly okay just to listen.
The event is for anyone who wants to think out loud with others.
October 29, 7pm: Courage
What exactly is courage? When does life require courage, and what kind of courage do we need in 2026? We talk about the small and big moments when we have to take chances, speak the truth or change direction. Can we even be good citizens without courage?
November 23, 7.30pm: Listening
When are we really listening, and when are we just waiting for ourselves to speak? In an era of many voices and quick opinions, when we pay tribute to the speaker and have decorated a community to be able to “take the floor,” we explore the potential of -- and the value of -- listening. What is the difference between listening and listening? Is listening in 2026 a radical act?
