Faroe Islands, second half of the 19th century. Young fisherman Baldur smashes the boat against the rocks and almost dies in the icy water. He is rescued by an experienced whaler Helge. Fascination is born between the men, and their growing desire is accompanied by horror, which will soon shake the life of the local community. “Sinners Will Know No Peace” is a mesmerizing gothic folk horror based on vampiric beliefs, in which a love story intertwines with a terrifying nightmare. Stunning photos of cliffs and the sea shrouded in fog give this story an extraordinary beauty, and the growing tension does not allow you to enjoy it calmly. In the main roles, Egor Venned and Pilou Asbæk are excellent.
