Hair is one of the most iconic elements of the female body. They have served symbolic and cultural functions for centuries. They were an expression of freedom, strength, temptation, mourning, spirituality or shame. In different cultures, they were subject to control: cut off, covered up, subdued, became the carrier of social and religious norms.
It turns out that there is a fine line between aesthetics and politics. Somewhere along the way, conventions, glances and expectations appear.
In Hairy Tale, four female performers feel the viewer's gaze on each other. They know that they are being watched and brazenly respond to his gaze. They play with the image of a woman and what falls out. This is how they write their own fairy tale.
