Halloween in the Grotesque

Brama, Strzyga and Migotka are three witch sisters living in the underground of the Grotesque Theater. Each of them is different and each wants something different. The eldest yearns for times gone by, the middle sister for a handsome mortal, and the youngest for freedom and freedom.

When this one, awaited by all children, the scariest day of the year approaches, the whining of witches has no end. The charm of the old, dark times has disappeared irrevocably, and the modern holiday of Halloween seems to be an imaginary invention of the present. Although from behind the walls of the Grotesque there are sounds of joy, children's fun and shouts: “Candy or prank!” , all this only irritates the sisters and drives them into even greater despondency.

Only the youngest, only 300 years old (!) Twinkle, looking kindly at the kids rampaging in costumes. She would gladly join in the fun and collect sweets with them at the Krakow Market Square. Will she be able to leave the dungeon of the Theater? Will he convince his sisters that Halloween is just an innocent pastime that does not threaten the traditional Chokeepers at all? Does every witch really have to be an unscrupulous dark persona, eating bats for breakfast? And what does Krakow's Lajkonik have to do with all this?

The Halloween performance, prepared by the actresses and actors of the Grotesque Theater is a musical spectacle, filled with songs well known to all children. The show disenchants the dark side of Halloween and proves that tradition and modernity do not have to be at odds with each other. After all, it's all about having fun, right?
