William Shakespeare “Hamlet”, dir. Adam Walny, Adam Walny Theatre, performance and workshops, Underground Scene
“Hamlet” by Adam Walny is a story about finding your own voice, facing emotions and courage in asking the first, independent questions about the world.
Interpretation of the classics, realized using theatrical forms characteristic of the creator: animation of objects, suggestive music and precise narration. The performance, created in the author's technique of extremely interesting underwater puppets, faithfully evokes the drama of Hamlet, the royal son. Hamlet sees the spirit of his murdered father, facing the difficult task of his revenge: revenge on both the murderer and those who kept the murder silent. Touched by the finger of God, the hero, marked by the responsibility of the experience of transcendence, is at the same time helpless in the face of his own imperfection. He's trying to find himself.
