About the event
Venue: Ranked Foyer - Because of her report on Eichmann in Jerusalem, Hannah Arendt was a persona non grata in Israel for a long time, and her book was discussed extremely controversial in Jewish communities worldwide. In Germany, on the other hand, she is one of the few people in contemporary history who enjoys universal sympathy. One of Arendt's most-quoted sentences is the demand that one should think “without railings.” But hasn't Arendt himself become a kind of “railing”?
