Genre-defying musicians Hannah Peel and Beibei Wang come together for The Endless Dance, a vivid new collaboration where electronics meet traditional Chinese instrumentation. Inspired by the 24 solar terms of the Chinese calendar, the album unfolds as an immersive cycle of sound: playful, meditative and alive with curiosity. In Wang’s words, it is ‘two women talking in totally different languages that had a wonderful chat.’
Opening the evening, vocal ensemble Shards performs the world premiere of Underland. Hannah Peel’s score, adapted by Chester Tribley and Bronte Tucker, brings choir, electronics and striking imagery to the stage, drawn from Robert Petit’s film based on Robert Macfarlane’s book.
