What happens if an angel appears in the middle of Berlin's rush hour during Advent? Can a burning Christmas tree bring a quarreling couple back together? A man wants to give his life away at the party — but how does that work?
Columnist Harald Martenstein has been writing unusual Christmas stories for many years — with black humor, but also a lot of love. A Christmas reading that won't leave an eye dry.
Harald Martenstein, born 1953 in Mainz, works as an editor at the Tagesspiegel and has earned cult status with his columns in ZEITmagazin. In 2004, he received the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize. His novel “Heimweg” was awarded the Corine in 2007, and in 2010 he was awarded the Curt-Götz-Ring. C. Bertelsmann's publications include: “Views of a domestic pig” (2011), “Do pineapples grow on trees?” (2012), “Rejoice, Bernhard is coming soon!” (2013), “Die neue Leiden des alten M.” (2014), “Being nice is also not a solution” (2016) and “Everyone lies as well as they can” (2018).
