Heavytones

Probably the most famous band on German television with rock, pop, funk and jazz in perfection.

The Heavytones, who took part in over 2,500 late night shows with Stefan Raab, as well as in special formats such as “Unser Star für Oslo”, or “Gottschalk's Big 90s Show” have been the most present and most prominent band on German television for almost 2 decades. With their powerful live sound, they decisively shape the character of the respective TV and live shows. The outstanding quality of the Heavytones has also made them a sought-after backing band over the years, and the list of international stars with whom they have worked LIVE is correspondingly long:

The Heavytones were also involved in the ESC auditions and thus at the birth of today's German music greats such as Stefanie Heinzmann, Max Mutzke, Gregor Meyle, or Lena Meyer-Landrut, and supported these then still young artists in getting out of their musical roots.

The heavytones also enjoy an excellent reputation outside the television industry and have earned their own place in the German music scene with the four CD releases “heavytones No. 01” (2006) “Freaks Of Nature” (2010) as well as “Songs That Didnt Make It To The Show” (2015) and “a tribute to Earth Wind and Fire” (2019) as well as during their performances as LIVE ACT. Not only is the recognizable and flexible band sound impressive, but also the high class of instrumentalists, who, in addition to the heavytones, are also on tour with artists such as “Till Brönner”, “Marc Forster”, Herbert Grönemeier, the Fantastischen Vier, or Helene Fischer.

They proved this not least in spring 2024 when they started a joint live tour with the rapper “Xatar”, with whose rap music in the rearranged Heavytones — Funk — dress and thus immediately sold out large houses such as the Elbphilharmonie, the Cologne Philharmonie and the Staatsoper in Stuttgart.

It is not presumptuous when the Heavytones say they are looking forward to further live dates with the band.
