Carols are special music — on the one hand simple, derived from tradition, inscribed in the Christmas custom, based on the biblical story of the Holy Family and the birth of Jesus in the poor manger in Bethlehem; on the other — carrying an extraordinary wealth of emotions, images and personal memories, thanks to which the common song becomes more than music: a gesture of closeness, unity of memory and memory.
After an excellent reception in the last season of the concert of Christmas carols in a symphonic version, the event returns to our musical stage. The Gorzów Philharmonics will once again join forces with the Newborn ensemble, and the special guest of the evening will be one of the most recognizable Polish pop singers — Katarzyna Cerekwicka. An excellent level of performance, artistic sensitivity, a powerful dose of energy and a passion for making music together will make the carols known for generations — arranged by Anna Maria Huszcza — acquire a contemporary color, while preserving their spiritual core and original atmosphere. The strength and energy of ensemble singing, enriched with a mosaic of orchestral colours, will allow us to find in the carols both the beauty of classical harmonies and the pulse of modernity; the richness of sound and simplicity of the message; dynamic rhythms and melodies soothing to the ear; dance element and prayerful focus.
We invite you to a beautiful, emotional and festive musical story of the birth of Jesus, which for centuries has continuously inspired, moved and connected people around the world.
