Tea at Piłsudskich | Open Day

The foyer of the Theatre will once again become the interwar lounge of the Piłsudski state, where chess will take centre stage this time.

Józef Piłsudski was known for his love for this royal game. He served as honorary president of the Polish Chess Union, and while in Twerdzy Magdeburg in 1917 he played many games with General Kazimierz Sosnkowski.

We will play one of these parts in the theater foyer. It will be accompanied by talks about chess, about Poland and its path to independence.

Each of the guests will be able to take a picture with the Marshal, create their own cotylion, sit at the chessboard and drink warm tea.
