The legendary writer and storyteller, author of War Horse, Private Peaceful and over 150 books for children and adults argues for children’s rights to the countryside. His new book Down Burrow Lane tells the story of the Devon Farm that has changed thousands of lives. Michael and his wife Clare founded the charity Farms For City Children fifty years ago. He tells their story, and talks about transformation, opportunity and the power of nature.
Chaired by Peter Florence.

The Autumn Lecture Series is working with the European Festivals Forest to plant trees to mitigate our carbon footprint. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed and already planted a hectare of mixed woodland, banking 700 metric tonnes of carbon.
