Did you know that a high-rise building is full of adventures? No? Then pay attention: If you take the elevator to the 40th floor, for example, you end up in jungle days. You really have to be careful there: A giant gorilla is up to mischief there. But luckily you're not going alone. 9-year-old Eddie and his researcher friend Mr. Taniwa are there and are leading the research trip. Together with mom, baby brother Pupsbert and Mario, mom's new guy, Eddie lives in a small apartment on the 13th floor. 13 is an unlucky number, as his grandma explained to him. She also says that a meteorite will crash into Earth “tonight at 3:34 AM.” Eddie stays really cool there — he's more afraid that Mario might notice that he pulled in at night. Then there'll probably be slaps again. After all, the end of the world would bring an end to this. But what if there is no meteorite and everything stays as it is???

A high-rise adventure story with monsters, meteorites and stupid stepfathers — told of Eddie, who finally finds out that a safe home doesn't need the end of the world.

The premiere of the play by Uta Bierbaum will be staged by Matthias Schönfeldt. He stages Eddie as an inquisitive and cheerful boy who navigates himself and us through a dreary high-rise landscape and tries to forget the oppressive situation at home with stories and fantasy elevator rides. The stage design by Frida Grubba with slide projections and slide frame high-rise worlds creates a multi-faceted interplay between light and shadow, which, through musical arrangements by Sinem Altan, sonically translates the protagonist's turbulent inner world and brings his feelings to light of day.
