“Himalayas”

We invite you to the “Himalaje” audio show, which will be accompanied by a meeting with the director, Robert Talarczyk.

Radio Katowice has created a radio show based on the play “Himalayas”, which the Silesian Theater realized based on the biography of Jerzy Kukuczka by Dariusz Kortko and Marcin Pietraszewski. Directed by Robert Talarczyk, this is a story about life, death, great passions, desires and risks that sometimes cannot be renounced — fifty emotional minutes on the tops of mountains.

The role of Jerzy Kukuczka is played by Dariusz Chojnacki. In the radio show we will also hear, among others, Agnieszka Radzikowska, Grażyna Bułka, Barbara Lubos, Marcin Szaforz and Marcin Gawła.

The lecture will be accompanied by a meeting with Robert Talarczyk — director of the project and director of the Stanisław Wyspiański Silesian Theatre. The meeting will be hosted by Ewa Nieska.

Event organized as part of Library Night 2026.
