DR Vocal Ensemble
Among the months of winter, February is the brightest, which provides sure omens that the heat and light are on the way back.
In the old days, Kyndelmisse, which means 'light fair', was celebrated at the beginning of February — but also our own time, and our own city, has its very own light festival. In February, Copenhagen Light Festival lights up streets, buildings and water mirrors with bright colours, beautiful patterns and brilliant light sculptures.
As part of the festival, DR Vokalensemblet once again illuminates the beautiful space of the Marble Church with music that explores sunlight, moonlight, starlight, northern lights and the heavenly light of eternity. The concerts in recent years have been completely sold out, so it is important to get tickets in time!
Together with the clear sound of the choir's voices, composer and musician Christoffer Møller creates evocative electronic soundscapes, and spectacular lighting design adds new dimensions to the large, stylish church space of the Marble Church.
